Commissions

While much of Krupa’s work is created as part of the artist’s personal painting series, many collectors commission Krupa to create specific pieces for themselves, family or friends. Krupa’s approach to a commission is direct, personal and client-focused. She believes that it must be a very personal and private process. She understands that, for some clients, this may be a “once in a lifetime” experience that is exciting, yet filled with unknowns. Her goal is to make the experience of commissioning an original work of fine art stimulating, enjoyable, comfortable and risk-free.

The process starts by coming by the studio or contacting us by phone, email or postal mail. An appointment will be scheduled for you to meet face to face with Krupa or have a conference by web-cam or telephone. Krupa suggest you visit her studio and gallery or look at online at staciekrupa.com to see available works from past series which will enable you to get ideas about subject matter, colors, textures, materials, size, mounting, framing and hanging options.

In the session, Krupa wants to understand your ideas and any specific requirements or restrictions like color, size and cost. This “Creative Specification” session with Krupa is a dynamic, interactive, collaborative process. Krupa will try and get everyone’s creative juices to flow and combine to agree on the “guidelines” that will be the genesis of an original work of art that will warrant repeated viewing for a lifetime.

Pressure Free Commissions!

Unlike many artists who have a very “artist-centric” view of commissioned work, Krupa tries to offer as much flexibility, diversity and choice as possible during the commission experience. She will listen to your ideas and incorporate them into the creative direction of the work. You will understand the direction she is going to go with the piece and the costs before she begins to create. Krupa believes that this process does not hinder creativity, but challenges it.

While her studio, travel and commission schedule is often booked for up to two years in advance, Krupa will work with you to fit your commission into a timeline that will fit your unique needs. Commissions do fill up fast each year. If you are interested, Krupa suggest you book your “month” for completion ahead ASAP. This requires no deposits or money, but Krupa does request that you are serious about the need and desire for her art since she will block this time and postpone other commissions so you may receive your original work of art when you need it.

Unique to the Krupa commission process, Krupa will offer you choice by creating multiple versions of the work to enable her to explore different creative directions within the guidelines of the Creative Specification. This is a win-win because Krupa gets the creative freedom to explore her ideas and you, the patron, will be able to pick the piece you like the most. When she has finished the work, you can come to the studio or Krupa can send you detailed photos of the final paintings by mail or digital images by email for you to choose from.

Also unlike most other artists, Krupa guarantees all commissions. If you don’t like the finished work, you don’t have to buy them. Someone else will. Krupa believes each of her works has its own ”home” and someday each one make it to theirs.

Coming Home

If desired, you can request Krupa to personally bring the finished piece to you and will work with you to place it in its new home. If you want, she will bring all of the versions she created so you can see each of them on the wall and decide which one fits best with your surroundings. A traveling consultant fee may be charged to cover travel cost if Krupa is not scheduled to be in your area. If a personal hanging cannot be arranged, the piece you selected or even all of the versions can be shipped to you. Once you have picked the one you want, you can ship the remaining pieces back to the Krupa Gallery. The shipping costs will be added to the commission.

Remember, Krupa guarantees all her original paintings. If you buy one, she wants you to live with it for thirty days. If you don’t still love it, return it for full money back guarantee. She also offers a unique lifetime exchange program. At any time, for the rest of her career, a commission patron may exchange a Krupa for another painting or commission of equal or greater value that may better suit their needs in the future.
